This topic is about changing the way that data is formatted in an email that is constructed by the extensions php from the data entered on the form, not a hint of CSS anywhere here. It is a straight text email not an HTML email.

Not CSS: you can put actual PHP fields in the template HTML folder, edit them and change the behaviour of components/modules. E.g. I modified Joomla native "Who's online" module to show real names rather than usernames.
