I am just trying to install Contact 2.0.17 on my Joomla 2.5.4 installation but always receive an "Internal Server Error" while installing. No matter if I upload via ftp and install from the tmp directory or install from the zip file - same result.

I read the my server error logs already and very carefully. I could not find any (!) indication of a misconfiguration. All other software installs fine, no matter if module, component or template.

Any ideas ?

I believe that you read the log file very carefully, but as you probably know, Internal Server Errors should be logged.
I need the error message to understand what's wrong.

Sorry, but you are quite late

I found the solution myself. I had to adjust some variables in the perl config. I found out it was a common error in the cgi configuration which did not only affect fox contact. You may mark this topic as solved.
